Dear Friends of Bray Lake
I hope you are all safe and well.
We have been following the Government’s recommendations on how to slow down the spread of the Covid-19 and have been putting measures in place to minimise the risk to all. However, this weekend it became clear that we will not be able to continue operating in this way without putting our team, our members and our customers at risk. Therefore, as of today we have taken the decision to close the Lake and Centre from today 23rd March 2020.
Obviously, we did not want to do this, but it makes no sense to further risk anyone’s health. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and keep you updated via email and social media.
As we are all going to be spending a lot of time in our own homes let’s hope the broadband holds out so you can keep a close eye on the various social media channels. We plan to put some specific information out and share anything we think will be of interest from our friends and partners in the Water Sports World to keep us all sane, so stay in contact for quizzes and links to great surfing, swimming and sailing movies plus lots more.
If anyone has an open booking with us, we will endeavour to be in contact with you as soon as possible. We will be monitoring our email so feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
We look forward to welcoming you all back to the Lake as soon as it is safe to do.
Look after yourselves.
Simon and the Bray Lake Team
Come and join us for this fast growing water sport, stand up paddleboarding is incredibly easy to pick up and can be as energetic or gentle as you like. The more you put in the better the results.
The Bray Lake SUP Club meet for regular outings on either Bray Lake or along the River Thames.
From April to the end of October we run a social paddle on Wednesday evenings from Bray Lake setting off at 6-6:30pm and returning approximately 8-8:30pm and on Sundays from 10-12:00. Where possible and conditions allowing we SUP on the River Thames. When conditions are not suitable we paddle on the Lake.
The sessions continue through November to March but depending on the conditions tend to be more Lake than river and are more specific fitness sessions.
Want to be a part of it? Its easy either, call Bray Lake Watersports on 01628 638860 to find out more or better still come down to the Centre based between Windsor and Maidenhead to see for yourself.
Can't make a club session, no problem Bray Lake Watersports offer SUP 7 days aweek throughout the year. Give them a call on 01628 638860 for further details.
